Can I get pregnant just a week before my period?

Yes you can.

You ovulate at different times and the period is strickly to wash out the unfertilized egg and excess hormones that built up on the lining of your uterus so a fertilized egg could attach itself.

You can even be pregnant and go through with the next scheduled period as the body does not always act as one expects. It might just be "spotting" but considered a period.

Only a doctor can tell you for sure if you are pregnant by a urinalysis test which tests for hormonal levels which are higher with a pregnancy, and a pelvic exam as well.

I hope that helped answer your question and if you need more info, please email me anytime.
